Day 1 UK to Hanoi
Depart the UK on a flight to Hanoi flying via Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2 Arrive Hanoi (D)
Upon arrival, be met and transferred to the hotel. Unwind with a soothing treatment at one of Hanoi’s many fine Spa and Wellness centre’s. In the evening enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the city’s restaurants.

Day 3 Hanoi City Tour (BL)
Start your day at the Temple of Literature, the country’s first university, built in the 11th century. Explore The Old Quarter by electric car, passing through this fascinating area at a leisurely pace, and enjoy a delicious lunch at a traditional restaurant. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 4 Hanoi to Halong Bay (BLD)
After breakfast, transfer to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and board the Bhaya Classic Halong cruise vessel for a welcome drink and cruise briefing. Lunch will be served while your boat makes it’s way towards the Surprise Cave, and why not take a refreshing dip or exhilarating hike on Titov Island. In the evening enjoy a delicious dinner, and perhaps join the crew for a spot of squid fishing.

Day 5 Halong Bay to Hanoi (B Brunch)
Rise early to marvel at the sunrise and join an early morning Tai Chi session on deck. At breakfast, your vessel weighs anchor to cruise towards the Dark and Bright Cave. After a leisurely brunch served onboard, the vessel makes its way back to harbour.Disembark at Tuan Chau Island and return to Hanoi for an overnight stay.

Day 6 Hanoi to Hoi An (BLD)
Breakfast is followed by an early flight to Da Nang. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Explore the ancient streets of the city, lined with Chinese traders’ homes and wooden houses reincarnated as restaurants, cafés, and local artists, craftsmen and tailors workshops, and uncover the beautiful 16th century Japanese Bridge. In the evening dine at one of Hoi An’s best restaurants.

Day 7 Hoi An (BL)
After breakfast, depart for Tra Que, a charming village on Hoi An’s rural outskirts. Spend the morning working with the villagers as they show you how to harvest and prepare fresh vegetables for meals. Cook a lunch of Vietnamese dishes with your hosts before savouring your efforts. The rest of day is free at leisure.

Day 8 Hoi An (B)
Today you have free time to explore Hoi An at your own pace, perhaps go shopping or relax at the beach.

Day 9 Hoi An to Danang and to Ho Chi Minh City (BD)
Fly to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to your hotel upon arrival for a rest before embarking upon the Saigon After Dark tour. Part night excursion, part street food adventure, the first stop is Café Zoom to “watch the world go by” and enjoy a cocktail and appetiser before continuing to a favourite local eating spot. Experience the nightlife of Ho Chi Minh City the way locals do, from the back of a vintage Vespa scooter.

Day 10 Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta (BLD)
In the morning transfer to Can Tho or Cai Be. Board your comfortable wooden river cruise vessel around noon. After a refreshing welcome drink, lunch will be served and the boat starts cruising. Sit back and watch the fantastic scenery and the daily life of the Mekong people. In the afternoon you can disembark for a guided stroll through a village and the surrounding fruit orchards or rice fields. Meet the friendly locals and taste the local produce. Return to your vessel and enjoy a drink at the bar or relax on deck as the sun sets over the magnificent watery landscape of the Mekong River, before a delicious dinner is served.

Day 11 Cai Rang Floating Market to Can Tho and to Phu Quoc Island (B)
Set off for an early morning sunrise cruise. Watch the locals at work drying fruits and building ships while enjoying an early breakfast. Afterwards, board a sampan boat to Cai Rang floating market, the region’s busiest market. You will also tour some of the local sweet and cake making factories or sail through the green water landscape to see local houses, verdant orchards and ship-building yards. Leaving the market, you return to shore where a private car and guide transfer you to the airport for a short flight to Phu Quoc Island. An undiscovered island paradise with warm clear waters and long stretches of sandy beaches. Perhaps treat yourselves to an evening candlelight dinner on the beach (payable locally).

Days 12-13 Phu Quoc Island (B)
Two full days free at leisure to enjoy relaxing on the white sand beach, snorkelling or diving among the coral reefs.

Day 14 Fly to UK (B)
The morning is at leisure before checking out and transferring to Phu Quoc Airport for the flight back to Ho Chi Minh City and onwards to the UK, arriving the following day.
