Day 1 Arrive Hanoi
You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 2 Hanoi (BL)
Explore Hanoi and spend time at the Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and the Presidential Palace. Visit the Vietnam History Museum and Hanoi Opera House. Take a stroll around the Old Quarter and see a traditional Water Puppet Show.
Day 3 Hanoi to Halong Bay (BLD)
Journey through the rich farmlands, by shuttle bus to Halong City. Board the traditional wooden junk boat for the overnight journey to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay cruising past beautiful rock formations. Visit the Surprise Cave and Titov Island.
Day 4 Fly to Hue (B)
After Tai Chi on the sundeck and breakfast, explore the Dark and Bright Cave. Enjoy brunch as the boat winds through the limestone rocks. Disembark and join the shuttle bus back to Hanoi. Later fly to Hue.
Day 5 Hue (BL)
Cruise along the Perfume River, stopping off at the Thien Mu Pagoda. See the Imperial Citadal and the Forbidden City. End the day with some retail therapy at a local market.
Day 6 Hue drive to Hoi An (BL)
Drive along the dramatic Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. The town of Hoi An is easily explored on foot, and in the afternoon, embark on a short walking tour.
Day 7 Hoi An Ancient Town (B)
Day at leisure to explore Hoi An and its surrounding area. Optional tours include a cooking class or cycle ride to the local beach.
Day 8 Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (BL)
Morning free. After lunch transfer to the airport stopping at the Marble Mountain and the Cham Museum. Fly to Ho Chi Minh City, on arrival you will be met and transferred to the hotel.
Day 9 Ho Chi Minh City (BL)
Soak up the history of Dong Khoi Street on a walking tour, visit the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum, and the city’s biggest wholesale market in China Town. This afternoon we will take you to the Cu Chi Tunnels on the city’s outskirts.
Day 10 Mekong Delta (BL)
Drive to the Mekong Delta and sail along the Ben Tre River through scenic mangroves. Visit brickworks and rice paper workshops as well as a coconut workshop and a bee garden. Enjoy some local fruits with a cup of honey tea. Return to Saigon in the afternoon.
Day 11 Fly to Bangkok (B)
Fly to Bangkok and transfer to your hotel.
Day 12 Half day canal tour (B)
Enjoy a half day Canal Tour. Take a long-tailed boat to visit the legendary Wat Arun. Continue along the waterways observing local life.
Day 13 Bangkok to Kanchanaburi (BL)
Drive to Kanchanaburi, making a stop at the bridge over the river Kwai, Death railway, War cemeteries and the Thailand-Burma Railway Museum.
Day 14 Erawan Waterfall (BL)
Visit the Erawan Waterfall where you can walk up all the way to the top of the waterfall or have a swim in the crystal clear water at one of the many levels of the falls.
Day 15 Hellfire Pass – Ayutthaya (BL)
Drive to Hellfire pass. Continue to Ayutthaya, stopping at Bang Pa In Palace, which was earlier used by the Kings of Thailand for their summer residence.
Day 16 Depart (BL)
Visit the temples at Ayutthaya then transfer to Bangkok airport for your onward flight.
