Day 1 UK to Hanoi

Fly from the UK to Hanoi.

Day 2 Arrive Hanoi

You will be met on arrival and, transferred to your hotel for a two night stay. The remainder of the day is at leisure to get your bearings or relax.

Day 3 Hanoi (BL)

Explore Hanoi, spending time at the Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and the Presidential Palace. Visit the Vietnam History Museum and Hanoi Opera House. Stroll around the Old Quarter and watch a traditional Water Puppet Show.

Day 4 Hanoi to Halong Bay (BLD)

Journey by shuttle bus through verdant farmlands to Halong City, and board a traditional wooden junk boat for the overnight journey to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Cruise past beautiful rock formations, visit the Surprise Cave and Titov Island.

Day 5 Fly to Hue (B)

After Tai Chi on the sundeck and breakfast, explore the Dark and Bright Cave, and enjoy brunch as the boat winds through the limestone rocks. Catch the shuttle bus back to Hanoi, for your flight to Hue. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and check-in.

Day 6 Hue (BL)

Following breakfast, enjoy a leisurely cruise along the Perfume River, stopping off at the Thien Mu Pagoda. You should also visit the Imperial Citadal and the Forbidden City. End the day with some retail therapy at a vibrant local market.

Day 7 Hue and drive to Hoi An (BL)

Drive along the dramatic Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. Hoi An is easily explored on foot, so in the afternoon, we have organised a short walking tour of the city to help you discover the local area.

Day 8 Hoi An Ancient Town (B)

Day at leisure to explore Hoi An and its surrounding area. why not take advantage of one of the optional tours and experiences available, by booking a cooking class to get a true flavour of Vietnam, or enjoy a cycle ride to the local beach for a refreshing swim.

Day 9 Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (BL)

Your morning, after breakfast, is free for last minute explorations of Hoi An. After a tasty lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, stopping at the Marble Mountain and the Cham Museum on the way. On arrival, you will meet your guide and transferred to the hotel to check-in.

Day 10 Ho Chi Minh City (BL)

Soak up the history of Dong Khoi Street on a walking tour, visit the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum, and the city’s biggest wholesale market in China Town. This afternoon, discover the Cu Chi Tunnels on the city’s outskirts.

Day 11 Mekong Delta (BL)

Drive to the Mekong Delta and sail along the Ben Tre River, through picturesque mangroves. Visit a brickworks and rice paper workshop, as well as a coconut workshop and a bee garden, for some local fruit with a cup of honey tea. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.

Day 12 Fly to Bangkok (B)

Fly to Bangkok and transfer to your hotel.

Day 13 Half Day Canal Tour (B)

Enjoy a half day Canal Tour on a long-tailed boat, to visit the legendary Wat Arun. Relax, watching the world pass by as you drift along the waterways, taking in the sights and sounds of this fascinating region.

Day 14 Bangkok to Kanchanaburi (BL)

Drive to Kanchanaburi, stopping on the way at the moving and poignant, Bridge Over the River Kwai, the Death Railway, War cemeteries and the Thailand-Burma Railway Museum, before arriving at your hotel.

Day 15 Erawan Waterfall (BL)

Following breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a visit to the Erawan Waterfall. Here you can walk all the way to the top of the waterfall, or have a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of one of the falls many pools.

Day 16 Hellfire Pass to Ayutthaya (BL)

Drive to Hellfire Pass, and continue on to Ayutthaya, stopping at Bang Pa In Palace on the way. The palace was once used as the summer residence for the Kings of Thailand.

Day 17 Fly to UK (BL)

After a hotel breakfast, you have time for an optional visit to the temples at Ayutthaya. Following lunch, transfer to Bangkok Airport for your return flight back to the UK.
